With weeks of theoretical courses followed by weeks of practical applications, students can immediately apply what they have learned. Our students will have the opportunity to face daily situations with real customers in a professional environment, allowing them to truly understand what it is like to work in the hospitality industry. The practical application will take place in various departments within the luxury hotels and world-class events, carefully selected by our Internship & Practical Applications Manager.
During their internship semesters, students learn first how to master basic but essential skills in operational departments such as Front Office and Food & Beverage (F&B); later on, they have the possibility to choose between operational or administrative internships. By carrying out the daily work alongside industry professionals, these future hotel managers acquire credibility with those they will be managing during their careers. Overseas internships will also help students develop their linguistic skills and their cross-cultural qualities.
The Bachelor in International Hotel Management will pave the way towards operational management positions in the hotel and tourism industries.
During these four years of study, Vatel students:
- Acquire professional, legal, economic and fundamental linguistic knowledge for their field;
- Learn managerial techniques and team-leading skills.
- They have real clients during their practical application weeks, they all work together in real-life work environment.
- They master their skills in their internships.
- Their courses are given by academics as well as professionals from the hospitality and tourism industries.
